I have a Blaser barrel in 270 Win, and would like to make it into a 270 Wby. Does anyone with a shop have a reamer for 270 Wby? Might need to be carbide...I know the Blaser barrels are very hard.

You didn't ask, but you will also have to do some barrel setback because the base of the neck of the 270WBY is too narrow. If you already were aware of this I apologize for this intrusion.

I only work on precise barrels and my reamer refuses to fornicate with a Blaser.

i'm pretty sure that my reamer is wrong for a blaser. i did howeveer find instructions on rechambering one. (in the plumbersnotesbook)

#1 - you will need a pioletless reamer ( the job does not require a pilot, rather needs a mechanic)
$2 - in place of the usual lather a rigid 3000 pipe turning vice isnecessary
#3 - wrap 4 wraps of ducttape around the reamer marking where you want the depth of the chamber to be. add 1/4" for functioning
#4 - inster the barrel into the pipe vice closing the jaws firmly. the marks left on the barrel will be further know as "engraving"
#5 - turn on the pipe vice while holding the reamer wi a 24" pipe wrench
#6 - when the reamer reaches sufficient depth, turn off the vice and remove the now finished barrel.
#7 you may want to fill in the new engraving with gold or silver rustoleum
#8 sit back and appreciate a job well done, knowing that you have increased the value of your blaser by 10 fold

Blaser cannot get the chamber right on the first try?
