I would appreciate suggestions as to a source for a shaped stock for a 1903 Springfield. I would like walnut and am concerned about grain structure rather than figure. I am restricted to inexpensive grades. Thank you for your help.

If you are for a military style Boyds list them.

They also have a couple other shapes.

No fancy wood here.

As usual just my $.02

I have a classic pattern for a Springfield and plenty of blanks on hand send me a pm if you like and I can send you a picture of the pattern.
Let me know how much you want to spend and I can send some pictures of blanks as well.
