So I buy a WSSM today, as a donor action for the 358 BFG(WSSM).

Unscrew the barrel, and see TINY threads. Really, really small threads.

Find my thread pitch gauge, and it shows 28 TPI.

The barrel tenon measures 1.055" O.D.

I guess that opens up the possibilities a bit as to what cartridges this action could possibly take.....if only it wasn't so short.

Shouldn't take long to cut those threads!

How much meat is there on the barrel? One could have the factory barrel rebored.

Chrome lined, not enough meat either, in my estimation.
