I have a barrel from a Husqvarna 1900 action that I would like to have rebored from 7mm to 30 caliber. I have talked with one smith who specializes in reboring barrels and he said that the Husqvarna barrels were too hard. He said that his cutters leave gouges that compromise the accuracy of the barrel (as well as damaging the cutters). If anyone has information on other reboring companies that are knowledgable in this procedure, please advise. Thanks in advance, SD Shooter

SD Did you check with Half Moon "Jim Baiar" and Delta gun shop "Jim Dubell"? There was also someone who posted a link to pictures of a shop in California that recently started cut rifling with an old Pratt Whitney sine bar rifling machine.

Hi Gunmaker, Thanks for the lead. I have sent an email to Jim Dubell explaining my project. If I don't hear from him in the next couple of days I will give him a call. From reading about his experience and training, it looks like if the job can be done, Jim is the man. Again, thanks. SD Shooter
