Didn't know where to post this but thought the gunsmithing section might find the most likely guys to know about this sight.

It is, according to the box a model 36 for a Mannlicher Schoenaur 1924 or 1950. It appears to have the same mounting system as a 36, though I don't have one handy to compare, but it doesn't pivot. It is fixed. There are no numbers on the sight. Was there another version of the 36 for later model Mannlichers that was fixed rather than pivoting? Thanks for any help guys.

"...I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."
