Whitworth Pattern
Asking for my shooting buddy. Does anyone know of a stock turner that has a Whitworth style pattern?

I have an my original Whitworth that Bobby Mitchell used when he was duplicating. You would be welcome to borrow it. The only difference is we glassed a little "frame" under the bolt release that gives it a bit of class. A few strokes of the rasp would remove that. Let me know. Lee.

Needed that anyway in my opinion. Thanks I will put you on the list as an option.

Have a good one.

Mike Kokolus has a whitworth pattern of some sorts, he said he used it to restock a whitworth for himself in 375 once. I spoke with him about it while back, If I remember correctly he pulled it and looked at it and said it was a pretty big pattern, which I wouldnt have problem with, lots of wood to work with. Let me know if you want his number.

Thanks Billy
I have Mike's number. My buddy is not into much wood working. His idea is "as close to done as possible".

Jeff must be out of town or soemthing (have not seen him post in the past couple of days) but I know he has a Whitworth pattern and he duplicates stocks. I sent him an old Whitworth stock I had for him to copy. You may want to drop him an email and see how much it would cost for him to turn you a stock.

Marc, I believe Jeffe is in LA. Thanks for info. Last I had talked to him about it he was looking for a Whitworth pattern.

ElCabellero, Does Royal have a pattern? Or did you send them a blank and pattern? What do they get to shape and inlet if you don't mind my asking. I couldn't find that info on their site.

Ramrod,
It is my pattern. I have it there along with a Whitworth 375 H&H and a 30-06 project. You are welcome to use it as long as it is there. He may run out a pattern to keep for himself as he did not have one.

I think it is $120 to turn your blank in to a simi inleted stock. He will also fit it to you your barreled action for more. Give him a call he is a real nice guy which I have found to be a rarity in the gunsmithing world. Although I have not seen his work "in the flesh" but I have heard good things about it. I will know later this month.

Thanks for the offer. As of today my buddy doesn't even have a blank. Like me he has several he is looking at. But can't make up his mind.

I'll pass it on to him.

Thanks again
