I have a VZ24 with Lothar Walther 257RAI barrel in light varmint with original stock milled out. I trued that action and lapped the lugs.
It's worst 5 shot group with any load is 1.4", and it's best is .46".
Before I built this a year ago, none of my ~50 center fire rifles had produced a 1" group.

That VZ24 is my favorite.

Major Caliber, even without the hunt101 pics working, I can understand you being happy with your VZ24Smiler

Thanks for the post, Major.
I've got a VZ-24 that I'm sporterizing so I've got high hopes.

cummins cowboy,

Only one thing can help your vz. Sell it to me for scrap metal value (I'll pay the freight) and let me take care of you!

Obviously you have one of those "sub-par" things that occasionally gets past the Customs people, but I'm sure it will work quite well as a post in my garden fence!

If you feel the need, I'll be happy to provide you with a copy of my C&R (Caring and Rectifying) License.
