Same here. When I had this problem with bad ammo, I pulled the bullets for re-use, dumped the powder in the garden, and fired the primers in a properly chambered firearm. Then I removed the primers and recycled the brass. Presto! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Me too. I am really a brass whore. When I die the kids just need to burn the place down. There is no way to sort 50 years of accumulation. Never mistake motion for action.

Back in the early '70's I married a bambi lover. Major mistake. "those beautiful brown eye's and you kill 'em----BULLSHIT!!: I gave up hunting and shooting. Left the reloading stuff and 18lbs of .50 cent a pound 4831 under Dad's bench in the garage for about 20 years. He found a seep in the pasture and thinking if he'd blow it, he could get a decent spring to run. Bought 5 sticks and a cap or two. Dug a hole and dumped all my powder in with the sticks. He'd hired a guy with a big loader to clean out the hole for a pond. They got under the bucket to fire it off. When the washtub sized rocks stopped falling they went to look at the result. Dandy spring running into a big hole in the ground that made a nice pond. Didn't even need to use the loader. A couple years later I got back to reloading and no powder. Went to buy some and THEN it was $15.50lb. Now then, don't we wish?? In the mid '50's everyone around town burned trash in either barrels or ashpits. One of the tenants had about 4 feet of linked 50bmg's. I got into them and "us" kids tossed quite a few in burning trash barrels. Never did any damage to anything, fire and ashes did blow up in the air. Hey Steve: I hear you on that last comment! George "Gun Control is NOT about Guns' "It's about Control!!" Join the NRA today!"
