Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Swedish Mauser question
Been kicking around in my safe for years..Appears to be Swedish (cocks on closing?..but has a solid left wall..no thumb cut. Stamped with crown and what looks like a backwards "F" and "H". Can't seem to ind anything like this in Ludwig's or Speeds books

thirdbiteI think it is most likely one of the HVA so called "strengthened" or "reinforced" model 96 produced commercially in the 1940's and designated as the model 640. That model was later built on FN large ring actions as well.

Commercial Husqvarna based on the M38 (96) action. Their so called "strengthened" action. A 96 without the thumbcut. Nice actions but basically a 96.

mori shultzI have one of those Husqvarna barreled actions that I got from KEBCO.It is chambered in 9.3x62.The cartridge box interior is slightly longer than the 96 6.5x55 box and there is no cocking extension on the end of the bolt. These actions are very strong and commonly rebarreled to 30.06 in Sweden. My 9.3 barrel is also marked Husqvarna. Mori
