Ok so I have a like-new (new to me) redhawk.
Other than a pring set, whatcan be done for this gun. As I understand it, the trigger can be improved on this gun far more than my SRH.

If that is so then I can shed the 9.5 inch SRH and have a handieer carrying piece.
[Eek!]

TC,
The Redhawk uses the same spring to drive the hammer and return the trigger. You can't lighten the trigger without lightening the hammer blow. You may get inconsistent ignition if the spring is too light.

It can be done. The spring kit is a good start but you must be sure you get consistent ignition. Polishing all the appropriate parts helps a bunch. Mine is not what you would consider 'light', but it is very smooth. Way better than factory
