I have a very rare left handed rifle (Mathieu's) that I need to get new bases and rings for. It came with Weaver bases and rings but the problem is I've run out of horizontal travel with the scope. The screw holes are .50 inches apart center-to-center for the rear and .875 inches apart for the front base.

Anyone know of some other options for me? I don't want to use Weaver syle, I prefer Leupolds Dual Dovetail but am not sure if they make bases to fit my screw holes. I've tried Remington and Winchester and they didn't line up.

Had Leupold QD bases machined to fit my BLR and Marlin 444, the gunsmith did it such that the scopes were interchangeable between the two rifles.

Stick with the Weaver-style bases and get the Burris Signature Zee rings. You can buy offset inserts for them for about $10 extra to take care of your windage adjustment problem. They are very solid (much more so over the long term than dual dovetails. Your scope can be removed and replaced without losing zero.

I use them on everything I own.
