Everyone keeps asking me about the mini action and when they can expect us to produce it. As was stated many moons ago, it will take approximately 500 actions sold for us to get them into production. With that said, anyone who is interested get your name in NOW! It really doesn't cost you a thing. We may ask for a credit #, but that is only to show the powers that be that it is a serious order. The price for any of the Mini actions (R/H, L/H, Chrome Moly or Stainless) is only $350.00. Compare that to $1500.00 + for anything even comparable. If you want us to get them done, give us a call right away and we'll put you on the list. Give us a CC# but you will not be charged whatsoever until we reach the 500 mark and have reconfirmed it with you.

Dan, what are the specs on the Mini action? Will this be available in a Hornet sized bolt face or strictly for the 223 series of cartridges?

Its going to look like their other actions only smaller, designed around the .223. Actual magazine length will probably accomodate the 5.6x50M. It is not a Hornet action.

CMJR, I am really and I do mean really pushing hard for a Hornet bolt face. It was discussed early in the planning but has fell kind of to the wayside. But if it is up to me it will be available.

Feeding of the Hornet may be the only hang up in the Mini, but I think it could be worked out.

Scott Z assured me the a 17 Ack hornet would not be a problem in an email, I got from him last week. What gives?

I don't mean to imply that the action couldn't be made to work with the hornet or bee series, but it will probably amount to just that; it will have to be "made" to work. I know other actions do pull the duel duty however. The fact remains it is just a different type of cartridge. Now, perhaps MontanaRifleman should consider a dedicated Hornet/Bee action. There seems to be alot of interest from the 17 cal and Ackley people for such an action. Slick feeding could then be in the design, with only minor alterations for shoulder width etc. Personally, and its just my opinion, I don't want the Mini shortened or compromised to fit a wider range of calibers and then do none of them well.

How mini is it going to be?

There was a thread here several months ago started by a guy who wanted to build an ultra-light .250 AI on a Mini mauser action. I believe the final answer was that the round would almost, but not quiet, fit the action.

It sounded like a great concept, and was wordering how that round would fit in the MRC mini?
