Does anyone know if a Silvers pad that is 5 3/4 x 1 7/8 will grind down to fit a stock that is 5 1/8 x 1 5/8? I want to use it on a Marlin 336 stock so I can use a thin pad.

The only other red pad I am aware of is Pachmayr (I won't use KICKEEZ), which is closer in dimensions, but is 1" thick.

The Silvers pad should be plenty large enough from your dimensions. Easily long enough for the toe angle.
