If you spend enough time and money, yes, it can be converted to a repeater. It would probably cost hundreds of dollars to do it right: cut bottom of action, inlet wood, fit magazine, modify feed ramp, and possibly more.

Why does Cooper only make single shots? Only Dan Cooper knows for sure, but it's probably because a solid bottom action is stiffer, theoretically adding to accuracy.

Cooper does all their designing around one thing- extreme accuracy. I have both a model 21 and 22 and I really like them.
If you want a centerfire Cooper repeater- wait a while. I have heard that plans are in the works for a repeating action. However, they are also supposed to be bringing out a short magnum repeater, and a model 23, which is a magnum version of the models 21 and 22, in 7mm STW, 300 mag, and 300 Ultra. I had one of these on order for over a year, and last I heard they might not be out until next spring. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and ordered something else.
Cooper is a great company, and they build awesome products. The only problem is they have so many orders on current models that they can't fit new production into the schedule.

Hey Ken,

Did you get your LH 57M yet? Have you shot it?

George,

Which one are you referring to. I have had a LH 57M 22LR for quite a while, and I recently bought a 57M 17HMR, which I just got scoped tonight.

The .17HMR, of course! I was wondering what the round would shoot like in something other than an econo-rifle.

I have a LH Anschutz .22LR, and have been looking for a LH .22mag. IF I can find one,
I might get a .17HMR barrel for it, just for laughs.
