Whats the preferred triger for deer hunting?

Used Timney and liked it, but is there any better?

I have used Timneys in most all of my bolt action "deer guns" which include a bunch of Mausers, a couple of Springfields, and a Ruger. In Remingtons and a Winchester, the factory triggers have adjusted well enough for my intended use.

Well, the Jewel is a jewel of a trigger. Canjar makes great triggers, but the wait is lengthy. Dayton-Traister makes a trigger on par with the Timney. Brownells has a few in their catalogue (other makes then the preceding, as well). Bold is inexpensive, and usually an improvement over the factory, at least on surplus guns. - Dan
