Kokdyer supplied the link to Kesselring's gunshop in Burlington, WA. What I found particularly interesting on that website was a custom, in-the-white pre-64 Model 70 barreled-action by Herman Waldron that would make a perfect foundation for a fine, best-grade .375 H&H custom rifle. It has everything but a scopemounting system, which can be procured with little difficulty: Custom barrel, bottommetal, completely reworked action, open sights -- the works, and the price is reasonable for what you're getting. Waldron, of Pomeroy, WA, is -- or was -- one of the top metal specialists in the entire country. He did a barreled-action for me (G33-40 Mauser .270 Win.) years ago that was beautifully detailed and finished and shot like a house o' fire. I don't know if Herman is still active, or even if he's alive anymore, but this barreled-action of his is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for far less money than current prices would allow, and no waiting period, either. All you need is to get scopemounts made, plus a fine piece of wood and a great stockmaker and you'll own a fantastic custom .375 H&H. www.kesselrings.com Go to the 'rifles' section then to 'Winchester' AD

I own a relative to the Jim Cloward match M70 shown. Mine was built by Jim with the same stock, barrel, etc.. except on a 1903 action. It is a very sweet shooter to say the least. He sure knows how to build them. William Berger True courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway. - John Wayne The courageous may not live forever, but the timid do not live at all.
