Fritz KrautA renovated Mannlicher-Schoenauer 1950
Gentlemen,
last summer I bought this nice Mannlicher in 8x60S Magnum from an older hunter for about $175, who a longer time had tried to get rid of it. It was in good shape, but the wood needed some work and the steel a new blueing.
This summer I had the pleasure to visit the Varberger rifle factory here in Sweden (
www.varberger.com), where I polished all parts and had it all blued in their process. The stock was carefully cleaned with a ammonia solution and afterwards treated with pure linseed oil. I think the result is quite acceptable.
Best regards,
Fritz

mhoDoes this one have a set trigger?? All the ones I have seen have the double set triggers, so when I first saw your pictures, I thought you did not have a set trigger. But, then I noticed how far forward in the trigger guard your trigger sits, and now I'm not so sure what this is??
Nice rifle.
