I have purchased a used Savage 99e in 300 Savage. I would like to know the age, or approx age. I dont believe it to be vintage by any stretch how old.
Savage doesnt provide this info any longer.

The serial number is 1029608

Does anyone have an idea of how old it may be ?

Bughole---They made a 99e carbine from 1960-1982--based on serial number,I suspect thats your gun. I dont have a breakdown by year for those years.

This page says your 99 was made in 1951 or later.
