Got a chance to get a 1910 mex rebarrell(7X57) drilled and tapped, SI stock(not much to look at), but no bottom metal. Will this take standard 98 bottom, or does it take different?

98 bottom metal will NOT fit. Too long.

Sweede 96/94 bottom metal will fit though.

regular Mexican bottom metal is pretty easy to find if you want the military variety. Or Blackburn makes really nice bottom metal with a hinged floorplate if your budget allows it
