Bill, I was wondering if it was Tim who was holding you captive in the cold dark north. The timing just seemed too perfect.

BTW, if Tim brings forth a dish called lutefisk and a bottle of Akvavit, run for you car. You might want to grab the bottle though for you trip.

If you are a fan of The Prarie Home Companion on PBS you may remember this from Garrison Keeler's book, Lake Wobegon Days.

"Every Advent we entered the purgatory of lutefisk, a repulsive gelatinous fishlike dish that tasted of soap and gave off an odor that would gag a goat. We did this in honor of Norwegian ancestors, much as if survivors of a famine might celebrate their deliverance by feasting on elm bark. I always felt the cold creeps as Advent approached, knowing that this dread delicacy would be put before me and I’d be told, "Just have a little." Eating a little was like vomiting a little, just as bad as a lot."

My station plays it on Saturday evening.

Most often, I listen while I'm reloading for the Sunday shoot.

Tim, glad to see you here. If I may, who does your duplicating and how close do you come to the pattern? I have a Remington Classic stock, which I noticed was not on your list, that I was thinking about having duplicated, and was just wondering.

You would certainly be free to make a pattern stock of your own from it. I know it is close to the BDL, but without the monte carlo. And since I am certainly not one to ask for anything free, (except advice from Chic) I know there is a fee for using my pattern. What are your turn around time estimates?

Thanks.

Larry

Bill, you are not with Butch any longer?

I sent you a PM regarding my son's project. My 'smith will be finished with the barreled action in about three weeks and then it is off to you for the stocking.

More details in my PM.

Larry,Are you looking for a SA or LA Classic Style 700? we have both patterns but not Rem Factory Classic style. We do all our own Duplicating, 95% inlet normaly about 20 thou. on the inletted action but can go closer. Turn around time is about 4wks. right now

Hey stop pickin on lutefisk. You can't taste it when you mix it with a pound of boiled potatoes, half a cup of melted butter, handfull of salt & pepper & wrapped in lefse. I allways heard about "Lutefisk Helper" Just never found a bottle. Now I can find a bottle of Akvavit to bring home at Christmas. Might help make room for more lutefisk!

Does anybody have a good recipe to turn walleye into lutefisk?? stir
