I have a new M70 Supergrade in 264 Win that had to be sent back to the factory due to excessive headspace, unsatisfactory accuracy and velocity. I sent it back in Nov and have just heard that it may be 4 months min before I get a new barrel or rifle back. This is is appalling service and I'm wondering if there is a contact there that I can start to work on to speed up this process.
Why is USRAC so pathetic?
Any other ideas?
Other companies warranty wk:
Swarovski-3 weeks
RCBS-1 week
Lyman-2 weeks

Just another example of bad QC

BR, about Winchester I only had one thing come up involving them; it was a stock problem. It took 4 weeks but they took care of it ok. Say your home page talks about using a 25-06 improved to take a mule deer, I'm building one (25-06 AI) as we speak, if that was your 25-06 AI, can you share any do's and donts about that cal.. BR if you ever get where the SG 264 is not working out for you, let me know I've been looking for one for awhile now. Good luck jjdero

That rifle was a real jem built on a pre-64 action and awsome stock. Unfortunately, during load development in my early reloading days I fried the barrel(not calibers fault, my $$%@$#@up) So I had to rebarrel to 280, I found that it was not a big gain over the factory round but was pure death on coyotes. I used it to take 6 mule deer, 1 shot kills with 115 gr partitions.I believe it was AI with 40'shoulder.
Use new brass!!!
Fireform properly
Watch barrel Temp
jjdero-Where do you live? I have a die and Brass for you????

AS for the SG I bought it near home from a Win Dealer. I sure hope I get a decent unit back.
