I'm seriously considering a single set trigger for my MRC1999 action and called Canjar.

I looked them up using the Arvada Colorado address but they are no longer listed in the yellow pages there.

I then did a yellow pages search and found a new address for:
M H Canjar Co
500 E. 45th Ave
Denver CO.
(303) 295-2638

But, when I called that number I reached a private home for someone who had never heard of Canjar. I called the number twice to make sure I didn't misdial but got the same guy.

So, does anyone know of any other contact/fax number for them?

Frank

Be careful...I recall a bunch of posts on here in the past from guys who ordered triggers from them and it took years to finally get them...and a few NEVER got them.

Perhaps they have changed...but I would sure check it out before I sent em any bucks. Masybe COD might be an option?

Contacting Canjar is like winning in the lottery - let alone actually getting a trigger from them. It seems like they have finally gone the whole way, either changing their phone number or going belly up?? It used to be that you always got an answering machine (except for once a week, and nobody knew the magic hour), and they would not get back to you. If if you did manage to order, actually getting a trigger usually took a couple of years - if not more.

If you really want a lighter trigger (set trigger, shudder!) for your M1999, the Jewell is absolute poetry. I know that Denis Olson has safely adjusted (stoned and whatever) the standard M1999 trigger down to about 1lbs (if memory serves, much lighter than you'd expect possible, in any event).

The Canjar is also very wide for a hunting rifle. The shoe projects outside the trigger bow of some rifles. I have one on a big heavy varmint rifle that I love but I'd not like it on a big game rifle. Maybe Kepplinger makes something that will fit a Mod 70? Theirs are very graceful.

They may still be making triggers, but apparently are "out of business" as far as "ordinary" consumers are concerned. There is NO telephone listing" for anyone like M.H. Canjar Co. in or near Arvada CO! But the Denver tel number still is listed as being the M.H. Canjar Co. If it has been reassigned, the telephone company doesn't seem to know it! (No surprise, of course!!)

(I have two Canjar single-set triggers. Both work OK set, but are even better when used as UNSET single-stage triggers. I bought my last one back in 1978, and had no trouble getting them THEN.)

Fjold,
We have 1 Canjar Single Set trigger that I would be willing to sell to you as we do not use them on our actions or rifles. If you would like please call me. My cell phone number is in a PM to you.
