I have large ring Mausers in 270 and 300win mag. What would be involved besides a barrel to convert one to 404 Jeffrey? Which caliber would be better to convert?

Bolt face, extractor, mag box, receiver opening length and width. I also shorten the bolt stop and move the mag box back so I don't have to remove so much from the feed ramp. Either of yours will require the same work.
