Ok, I just bought a barrel chambered to 300RUM and its got the barrel threaded for a muzzle break. If I just buy a Vais break (threaded the same) could I just thread it on or is there something else that is needed to be done? I have never used a break before and know nothing about them so just didnt want to buy one and put it on then have something happen because I was a dumbass.
THanks
Will

Provided the threads ARE the same and that it is a 30 caliber brake, then just make sure that the brake will seat against the barrel. Use a little loc-tite so it doesn't shake loose and pull it up tight.
