Customer wants to convert his 243 WSSM into a 300WSM. Was just wondering if there were feeding issues when converting to the larger caliber. Anybody ever done this conversion before?

He is smart to get away from the WSSM.

Is it on the super short action made for the 2.36" length cartridges? Seems like it'd be a lot of work to make it digest a 2.85" WSM.

Like s-40 said, if it is a super short action it could be tough not sure it's even possible. It would be like converting a non 375 length pre '64 or Mauser to 375 length. cut the rear bridge custom mag box and shorten the ejector. Feed rail work etc. Thats just the few things I can think of. Again if it's even possible.
If it is a regular short action I would shove a wsm case in the mag and see if it feeds
