Hello, I am considering replacing my winchester 70s trigger, I only have experience with a timney trigger in a ruger 77, which I think was a better trigger, but not fantastic. Does anyone have opinions about the best trigger for the money? Thanks
Ian

The Winchester 70 has one of the better factory triggers available these days. Yours may need smoothing or tinkering, but I would recommend that route rather than a replacement.

I must concur with these gentlemen.

My favourite pre-64 M70 had an average trigger. I cleaned it up a bit and adjusted to the best of my ability. After several years, I finally had a good 'smith do a professional job on it and what a difference!

Biggest improvement has been realised in my offhand shooting.

Locate a reputable 'smith and you will be glad you did.
