Im getting a rifle built and it has a blued receiver and is going to have a stainless barrel.I was wondering on what kind of coating you guys have put on rifles. I have been thinking either duracoat or some type of teflon finish. I wanted it in a matte black. ANy ideas?

Ditto on ceracoat. Looks good and very tough.. The lug seats of my Pierce receiver were coated, and the finish was still there when the bbl was pulled after 200 rounds. I'm thinking I'll never have a galling problem with that action.

I, too, will have this dilemma, as I'm getting a new Douglas Premium tube on the .300, in stainless.I'll need to get my stock hogged out to fit the barrel, too.
