I was surfing Numrich a week ago. For some unknown reason I saw J.C. Higgins (mfg) and clicked on "Rifles". I scrolled down and clicked on M50. Shazam! It was a Mauser. Then I saw a complete FN 1950's bolt at a decent price. What the heck, I bought it. It arrived today. I must say, it is a pristine mid 1950's FN commercial Mauser bolt with the left side safety. Virtually unused with Belgian proofs. Now I have to find a project!

BTW: I checked tonight and the item was no longer listed and the product number assigned to a shotgun hammer. WTH!

I bought a JC Higgins just like that and built a nice little 257 Roberts for the wife, it's now her favorite deer rifle!
