Both the 168's and the 180's are very accurate in my Hart barreled .30-06 but I haven't shot any game with them.. I have, however, used the X on game in a .375 and it works very well. I expect the same with Tripple X..

The Barnes 180 TSX are death ray accurate in my Sako 75 stainless 300 Mag, 73 gr RL22 in spite of guy behind the trigger. Play with the seating depth,I think 0.05" off the rifling is what the factory reccomends. If your rifle likes them they will serve you well on elk. Some rifles just will not shoot them well at all, I had a Sako .308 Finnlight that just would not handle any Barnes bullet at all, MOA all day with Nosler Partions. The Barnes X bullets are great, taking some 400gr XLC's, .416 Rigby, to Zimbabwe for Buffalo and 286 X bullets in my 9.3x62 in August.
