I recently saw one on a rifle at a Gander Mt. store. Is this type of mount as desirable as the German claw mount? I like the overall look. What about cost of installation on a custom rifle and who would you have do the work?

I imagine the cost would be quite high. Clayton Nelson builds a very nice one. Don't know that he would build just the mounts as the one I saw was on a rifle he was building for a customer. They do look good though.

I have not done a search on Clayton Nelson, can you tell me about the rifles he builds?
