What calibers could a Remington 700 BDL be rechambered to with out major work to the bolt. It is currently a 7mm mag. Never rode a bull, but have shot some. NRA life member NRA LEO firearms instructor (retired) NRA Golden Eagles member

Just rechambering would be a 7mm STW or 7mm ultra. That I know of anyway. Not counting any wildcats that is. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

Without rebarreling I assume..... RMiller has the good ones...one can also do the 7MM Weatherby but I'm not sure why he'd do that! If rebarreling is an option as the title suggests there's a whole lot of things available. From 458 Lott to 257 weatherby. Was there a chambering you had in mind? /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." No specific chambering in mind I have two Mausers now I am working on one in 30-06 and 7 X57. I thought I might do something else with the 700 as I am not really a fan of belted cartridges. But not having worked with the Remington I am not sure if the bolt face would have to be modified if I get away from the belted cartridges. Any of the new "Ultra-Mags" would work on your boltface.
