I am sure no else has ever done this, but when taking down a No.1/No.3 be sure and put that small nail, punch, etc. in the hole for the spring/strut that powers the hammer. Have done quite a few of them and failed to do it on this one and trust me, that spring is stout!! Solution, hack saw the strut in two and replace strut. If you have not done one of these highly suggest checking out the Ruger web site for a complete video on such work. The rifles are somewhat complex, but the video makes it very clear how to do it. "old timers" setting in I fear. | ||
