I have a ruger p90dc model, the first shot is double action and of course the first shot cocks the hammer so its ready for the second, on the subsequent shots the tigger has alot of "play" like almost 1/4 inch, I want the trigger to be firm and in place, pulling the trigger a quarter inch before it firms up then fires is anoying, can it be done.

I own a P90 also they are a tough accurate hand gun.

I have shot tens of thousands of rounds from P series hand guns.

I was a Ruger armorer in my former job. They are what they are.

If you want a crisp single action buy a 1911.

Rugers can be cleaned up a bit and be made better most have some burrs on them.

But they well not give you the same type of trigger pull as a single action only well.

With more and more use and practice the take up well become less noticeable. Meaning you well learn not to release the take up the whole way.
