Has anyone had the misfortune to need to find Taurus parts? I need an extractor for a .45 PT1911 SS series 80 style with the pin so far Numrich does not have them and I am beganing to think it may have to go back to Taurus as no other sites I can find show them. I thought a broken Taurus was simply a miracle from god, that allowed you to go out and buy a Ruger or a Smith & Wesson ?  Sorry, sorry - - - - sorry. That was neither called for nor helpful. So sorry. When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. After working on this one I have found that altho they look nice its a PT1911 and all the parts fit, I would rather have a Colt. But then I do not care for stainless pistols but it does make nice dinner tools and such.  Never rode a bull, but have shot some. I had very few of the Taurus line ever come into the shop. Those that did and needed a part were usually owner error. Taurus was easy to deal with and quick to send me whatever I needed. Their in house warranty repair was just as fast and hassle free on the one time I needed to use it. 40 years ago I wouldn't have had a Taurus if it was given to me. Now I have one of there revolvers that I would stake my life on and have. Dave In 100 years who of us will care? An armed society is a polite society! a 2 inch model 85 has served me well since 1990, carried most of the time, fired couple thousand rounds in practice, qualifies perfect score every time. PT1911 rides duty holster nowdays. Never missed a beat. Finish is not so great but it also shoots every time and hits where you aim it. Have a 4 inch model 65 stainless that I could not say how much it has been shot. A lot by me and some before me. I also have a Smith 586 that has been nothing but a quality control example. So Standard deviation rule applies to guns as well.
