Can McMillan composite stocks be shaped then resealed? I would like to relieve the grip area on a XP100 to achieve better trigger feel. I'm not worried so much about losing strength but getting the surface sealed after the exterior skin has been altered.

If you do, you will greatly weaken the stock.
That said, if you still want to procede...
Fit as wanted, and then some.
Get some fiberglass cloth for boat or body repair.
apply to area that was worked on. Let cure.
apply a coat thin coat of MarineTex or other good bedding type compound.
sand and repaint.

Once again, even with the glass cloth laminated in place, you will be harming the strength of the stock.
