I need to have a T/C encore barrel reblued. Any suggestions. There is no one locally I trust to do it.
Thanks

Doug Turnbull for rust blueing.

On a simple piece like that, i wouldn't expect it to cost much more than a hot-blue job, and it would be a lot more durable and better looking too.

Any gunsmith worth his salt can blue a TC barrel for about $20 to $50...I wouldn't suggest Doug Turnbull on a TC barrel New Guy, unless I was doing a high dollar custom rifle where an expensive rust blue job is warranted..Just my opine, he is very expensive...

Spencer,
I am in NJ. I ended up sending back to David Van Horn, who made the barrel. I had it fluted by OTT who did an amazing job! I was just going to paint the flutes with some alumahide, but it is such a nice barrel and such a cool caliber (257-444AI) I just figure it need a proper re-bluing job.
Thanks for all the advice!
