Does anyone know what scope mounts these are and where I could buy another set?

I have them on two rifles that I put together in the late 70's, both Mark X actions.

The bases and lower half of the rings are a single piece.

I like the offset ring on the rear base.

Thanks

Hmmmmm. There was a company called Wildcat that made rings and bases like that I believe. I could be wrong but that sticks in my mind. Talley is now making a set like that but I have not seen them for a Mauser as of yet. Hope this helps.

I'll have to check that out, last I looked they only showed one height(.400) IIRC. I have a set and they are a bit higher than I like but they are light and sturdy.

Thanks JD. I went to their website and see that they show to higher sizes now.

I have what they call "low" (.400") IMO these are really a medium. For whatever reason Talley does not seem to know how to manufacture truly low rings, which is a shame because they make some great mounts.

Maybe they think all scopes have a 40mm or better objective??????

Thanks for all the quick responses.

My mounts appear to be "extended" or "double extended."

I looked at their website, but couldn't find a picture of the extended mounts. I sent them an e-mail and received a canned response that a technician would respond to me in a couple of days.

The mounts that I have are on two Mauser Mk X actions. I am looking for that same model mount for my Weatherby Vanguard.
