Has anyone used these sights? How did they fit the Picatinney or Weaver bases?

Thanks

Roger:

That is a good question. If you believe half of what is said about them, they are greatest peep sight since the invention of gunpowder.

So I figured I'd try it. I ordered one from Ashley over the phone (their web site isn't of much use). It came yesterday but is one that screws into the scope holes on a Mod. 70, and not the ones that fit on the bases (it would be cheaper to go the scope base route though). Mine was $96 including psotage (not cheap, eh?).

I hope to try it this weekend, and will report back. They do appear to be well made.

The ones that fit the Weaver bases come in two different heights, seemingly about a 1/4" difference. If you have a stock with anything like a straight comb, I'm assuming the high version would be better.

That's the problem with open sights, you can spend a lot of money on the wrong ones until you find the right one.

Similar topic. I called their "tech" line. The guy was pretty short with me. I was looking for a AO sight system for an 1894 Marlin hybrid gun. Had to call back twice. Should come in the mail manana. I'll let you know how it goes. I got my stuff from Brownell's.
