Has anyone done this? I looked at it and looks to me that it would take a custom mag box and lengthening the receiver opening at the back. Thoughts?

On the Magnum 110's, I think all you need to do is extend the magazine.....the receiver port should handle the longer STW case.

I believe that when remington chambers the "ultra mags"
and the STW that they also "skeletonize" the sides of the sheet metal magazine box in the front of the box to gain case shoulder clearance, other than that the mag box is the same as it would be for a 375H&H

Something similar might also be required on the Savage.

Haven't had a savage out of the stock yet.

The side cuts on the Remington mag box aren't necessary for the STW conversion, but like you said, it is for the Ultra Mags.
