Thanks, but for some reason i cant get the FN to drop in the Zastava stock. The receiver seems to be a bit to large. Its a FN Belgium Musketeer barreld action.
There are always small production variations, and it does not take much to prevent a stock from fitting; do not expect anything to just drop in; you need to fit the metal into the stock, as in any other stock fitting exercise. If you don't do that, you will break the stock. It just can't be expected that any model of rifle, made in different factories, in different countries, at different times, will ever exactly be the same. Especially on outside dimensions. We are only talking in terms of a few thousandths. Inletting black, chisels, patience.

The M70 Yugo is a standard length like the FN; not an intermediate. The reason it won't just drop in, is as I said above. Don't force it. You will crack your stock.

Take care even once you get it fitted. In my experience Zastava stocks are not only ugly beasts but a bit cheesy. We split the stock on a 300 Win mag while using it on a steel-skateboard recoil reducer and my 9.3x62 split between trigger and magazine despite appearing well bedded and being fired from the shoulder. (We've fixed the latter with glue and a cross-bolt.)
