Was not sure whether to put this in the custom forum, the classifieds, or here. I have a line on a Pre-64 Model 70 in .30-06, original except for a newer scope, supposedly made in 1953. Looking for a fair market value to offer for it.

thanks

What's the asking price? I have bought them for anywhere between $600-$1100 depending on condition and configuration.

Lots of variables here. Is it a Fwt or a Standard? How original is original??? Aluminum butt, steel butt or recoil pad. I have seen many original M70's that weren't original at all, just original as the owner bought it.

Hm, well, standard, recoil pad, missing rear sight, drilled and tapped for G&H scope base. Obviously used, but in VG condition.

FWT in Exc sold for $800, just the rifle.

The one I asked about sold for $700, w/ a leup 2-7 mounted w/sling.

No asking price, hence asking what it may be worth.

That sounds like a $500 hunting rifle. Those G/H holes take off $100 as far as being a donor action for a custom.
