Any short action cartridge based on the 308 case. Which means the 243, 260, 7-08, 308, 338 Fed or the 358 Win.

.22 Cheetah! Hey, what have you got against the 22-250 anyway?

It will depend on your magazine box length. Some rifles have shorter boxes for 22-250 than for something like the 6MM Rem. Measure its length and decide from there; or buy a replacement if it won't fit what you want.

Rebarrel to 22-250, but with at 1:7 twist so that you can shoot 69 to 80 g. bullets.

nothing wrong with the 22-250, but I have two very young girls I want to take deer hunting with me one day, probably about the time I will wear out the barrel on a 22-250 I just traded for, so I just was wondering what the options might be-I knew the 250-3000 was an option, but the 7mm08 might be a good 'un also. (to tell the truth I already have a couple of .243's for this job, but personally I like the 25 caliber family for deer-then there is always room for a 358 win in the safe!)
