I posted these photos a while ago but I recently picked up a nice BRNO rail mount and Zeiss scope to put on it.

I have a few Brnos, three 21 series ones and a minty ZG-.30-06. I just got a nice ZG in 9.3x62 and this is a rather rare one.

Among the finest sporting rifles ever produced, IMHO, and mine go into Micky Edge stocks and wear good scopes as I hunt them hard, as they were designed for.

Anyone fitted Butler Creek caps for these zeiss jena scopes? What are the size numbers? I have exactly same scope that needs caps.
Thanks,

They're kind of rare. I found this one NIB in a gun shop in AK. The owner said it was in there when he bought the store 20 years earlier. It was on the shelf for 10 years then spent 1o more in back room on a shelf. It was a lucky find for me as I searched for a good one for years after seeing the one fla3006 has on his ZG-47. hubba-hubba-hubba Big Grin

It looks like a rocker switch. Somebody ought to manufacture an aftermarket model like that... I'd buy one.

Shameless bump. I just wasn't ready for this thread to leave the front page yet.

Here is another one I owned at one time but no longer do. It was in better shape than the one I own now but it had been cut on a little. I did my best with it and feel like it left in better shape than when I got it. This one was chambered in .30-06

I have one llike TC;s 8x64, but mine`s an -06. I`ve trimmed the forend of the stock and I think it`s my favourite. It balances beautifully and the finish is better than I could ever afford in a newer rifle. I cant believe I actually care for new rifles, when beauties like these exist...

Awesome Terry! Could you possibly post a close up photo of that rear sight?

Here's a 7x57 with custom stock, high polish receiver instead of typical matte finish, engraved floorplate and scarce carbine barrel that's been on GunBroker for awhile. There's enough meat on the stock that if you don't like the checkering you could sand and rechecker. Nice rifle, fair price, not mine.

That blue finish is factory original, my ZG in 9.3x62 has the same finish, while the first '06 I owned and my current minty .06 have the more common matte receiver.

There appears to be a great variation among Brno 21/22 and ZG rifles, but, I do not think that any finer rifles were ever produced for hunting, anyway. The people from Africa I know here in BC are VERY big fans of these and prefer them to about anything and they do USE their rifles over there......

Yes, I know it is. The matte finish is more common though. The shorter barrel is even less common. I own a few myself.

Firstly, sweet rifles thumb

This might sound like a dumb question but how does the 47 safety work? Does it cam/cock the firing-spring upon moving the 2 position safety back, sort of like the cocking/decocking system of the R93 & M03?

Thanks Smiler

Thomas, my guess would be around $1700-$2000. but I could be very wrong about that. The ZG-47 9.3X62 is a rare bird over here. All you need is one greedy seller and a motivated buyer with deep pockets and you have set a precident for future sells coffee

Doug, I didn't see your post last time. here it is. It's only about 6 months late Wink Sorry.
