| Dont know about the Remington metal but I seem to remember from a year ago that they were preparing to make Mauser bottom metal. Last time I checked - nothing. What's up with that?

| They never delivered on a stainless model 7 bottom metal I ordered from them.Had to cancel and build without bottom metal. In all fairness it wasn't a standard item, but it was promised in 6 weeks and I cancelled after 6 months. Dunno what they're up to out there.

| Hi,
I ordered a PT&G 700 bottom metal a couple of years ago and discovered it to be beefy as the OP suggested. Since I am not afraid of using a file, emery cloth and lay-out fluid it now is streamlined and hand polished. Quite the improvement over stock Remington metal. BTW I installed a 3-postiion safety, also. Well worth the money and their prices are reasonable. Regarding customer service which, I agree, is a bit quirky; a call to Ashley every couple of weeks helps. While on the phone, ask her to bug the guys in the shop. One never knows what a machine operator might find lurking under a bench.
Luck,
Stephen |

They were going to do some Vanguard/Howa bits as well. They've disappeared from the website along with the Mauser gear.. |

| Dave makes the bottom metal for the Remmy custom shop. I have been using it for years on many of my builds. Has both alum and steel. |
