Thanks for what you do. We were within .5%, but slipping a little now.

Hey thanks guys! Sturgis is a much smaller town than Spearfish. Kind of hard when going head to head in these athlete of the week polls. David has been hitting the ball hard since I can remember. His freshmen summer he hit a few dingers over the MLB sized field and never looked back. Been leading his team in stats from then through now.
Here's a highlight hitting video of his last year's very chi cut season.

Thanks for the help guys. He didn't win the local contest, but the last regular season games have been played and he came out first in the state in batting average for the Class A (biggest schools).
Stat chart puts him on top at .482, but he actually batted .500 considering a reached on error that was a legitimate hit. That was his goal at the beginning of the season.
first in state for on base + slugging percentage (OPS) 1.324
Second for slugging percentage @ .750
5th for pitching for # of strikeouts 56. He did this in 27.2 innings. The guy in 4th place had 58K in 41.1 innings pitched
Thanks again for the support

He should, but scouts very seldom go to the Dakotas.

Well, he graduates today.Yea!
He did get baseball scholarship offers from a couple of pretty good JUCO 2 year baseball programs. I'd be happy for him to get into JR college with $$$ to help and hit the ground running getting playing time right off the bat. pun intended. However, indecision is the key to flexibility. He might be looking to walk on if possible at SDSU in Brookings, SD. D1 school so much more competition.
Overall, there's not a lot of scholarship $$ for baseball, considering football and basketball programs are cash cows for most larger colleges.
