I know some of you are sick of hearing us Californians whine. Please feel free to skip this rant. I understand that California has more BS laws than most states, but I am really growing tired of the FFLs in this state going out of their way to help the gun-grabbers by putting hurdles in the path of honest citizens. Here is an email that I received from an FFL dealer:
Here is my reply:
I doubt it will do any good. Is there some type of affirmative action in this state that requires that a certain percentage of FFL holders must be anti-gun, developmentally disabled, or lazy? I'm an FFL in Michigan and am signed up for the CA gun shipping circus. I have shipped firearms to CA with no problem other than the time to register each firearm shipped. I have customers (without FFL) who regularly ship firearms to FFL's in CA. The fist thing I noticed when reading the CA literature is the complete lack of logic in requiring FFL's to register to ship to FFL in CA but no requirements for non-FFL's to ship in. Regardless of the law, many FFL's all over the US will not accept firearms from non'FFL's as a matter of business practice. Mike Ryan - Gunsmith

Only a suggestion as it's what I've done personally . Find a FFL TRANSFER DEALER !. They in my case don't SELL firearms , ONLY TRANSFERS firearms . Paper work waiting period all apply . My FFL transfer dealer is a Cop and a Dam Decent Guy !. Fees are lower than most and does multiple transfers much more reasonably than anyone I've ever found !. As he doesn't sell firearms no tax is required to change hands !. A BONUS as it's all perfectly legal . Out of state purchases no tax transfers no tax a Win Win situation IMO !.

As a matter of business practice the are free to do as they like. What pisses me off is when they say that it is state and federal law. It's like they are doing the antis job for them. Jason, there are a lot of FFL's who don't know the regs and Aron is certainly one of them. Unfortunately they seem to think they that the world is waiting eagerly for their BS.

Boy is that an understatement. It seems to be a big misconception that FFL holders actually Know the law.... Good luck. NO WHERE IN THE FFL PROCESS ARE YOU TESTED ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF GUN LAWS. Granted they send you all the booklets but you are by no means required to read them. And then you have what's worse... The guy that THINKS he knows the law but in reality couldn't find his own ass with both hand and a flashlight these guys are just about the worst and will spread rumors, lies, and just plain misinformation for two reasons, one they are to damn lazy to actually find out the truth or are just dumb enough to believe the outlandish crap the circulates in gun shops. I have found a good shop in my area that doesn't play that game. They are up on all the laws and can advise with confidence. PS this is kinda like explaining to the USPS that it is still legal to ship a gun www.KLStottlemyer.com Deport the Homeless and Give the Illegals citizenship. AT LEAST THE ILLEGALS WILL WORK
