Should the levers go on the ejection port side or opposite, and what is the best position for the levers to sit? It's a LH if it matters. Thanks Jim

Left hand side for a lefty. You should be able to detach without loosing grip of your rifle. If speed is important to you. bigbull

jim, i'm right handed and so are all my rifles, and i have several sets of leupold qr bases they all have the levers on the left side opposite the ejection port. i think it is more a question of how they can be mounted on your gun. i do not know about your gun and bases, some two piece bases are front or rear some it does not matter. this is not an answer but some things to think about and look at. someone else may have a better answer for you. arky65

If the levers might get in the way then that will decide what side. I just did one with Talley rings and they said to have the levers point towards each other. I did this and it looks right. They are on the left side of a right handed Kimber 8400.
