i have a chance to buy a savage 110 fp in 223. cryo barrel. sss trigger.$400.
it sounds great but one question. tha barrel has been cut to 21". i am concerned about velocity loss and LONG range accuracy.
should i grab it or wait for one in 24"?

sounds a little high the 21 in well give you less vel but out to 300 you well not notice it much. I would pay a lot less the last savage varmint rifle I brought new in the box was for 250. A dealer would only give 200 at the most for this set up maybe even less. The cryo dosen't add any thing to the price unless your into that the short barrel takes away.
