For a short period of time in the early '50s, FN used a ~60 degree arc safety which had the wing on the left side of the bolt (vs the right side for the Buehler types). I am having a couple of rifles built and want to use this safety. I know that most custom builds remove these for a M-70-type 3 position safety so there must be boxes of them somewhere. Can anyone point me to a source for a couple of these? Thanks. Semper Paratus, Steve

Look on auction arms, there was a guy selling the safety and shroud for 25.00. Hope this helps

The 1950s FN safetys require a small notch in the sleeve, yours might already have the notch. I saw some safteys very simular that Sportsexpress has. They have alittle "arm" that holds it in place http://www.sporterexpress.com/v2/images/items/400-115a.jpg http://www.sporterexpress.com/v2/cgi-bin/csvread.pl?ite...20Safety&mytemplate= ,,
