just wondering about opinions out and about. If this is measles, would it be contagious to other firearms in my safe?

The seller Ed1 (or Ed Lander on GA) is ruining SxS's as fast as people will buy them - which seems pretty fast. He's been doing this to older American doubles for over a year and now has starting torching cheaper Euro's. This and an AYA come to mind.

What this high heat in spots does to the hardening is beyond me (I don't think I can spell metallurigical) but I imagine that some areas get tempered, some get annealed, some get brittle...

Yikes.
